Be wary of: (1) shops that quote a price then add 'shop supply fees' of $15–$30 not mentioned upfront, (2) upsells for air filter + cabin filter + wiper blades all at once — some of these may genuinely be needed but ask to see the old filter before agreeing, (3) drain plug cross-threading caused by rushed service — a properly done oil change never strips the drain plug threads.
